Winner!

Another wet and windy afternoon everybody!  However, nothing can bring down my day today, because this morning I received the wonderful prize from the giveaway I won on Friday!!  I know, very exciting; I never win anything!

If you are a regular Folksy visitor, you may have come accross the work of Fiona T, and her sister's shop Little Black heart.  If not, definitely go and pay them a visit, but be careful, because there are a lot of zombies about!!  Fiona makes the most amazing notebook covers and gadget cases featuring a whole host of zombies, zombie animals, and even some pretty birds and such, using applique and free machine embroidery.  She has also recently started a new blog, and it was here that I entered her giveaway and won my fabulous prize.  In any zombie apocalypse, there are bound to be a few lucky survivors, and I have won my very own trio of zombie escapees!

My rabbit, cat and fox survivors landed wide-eyed and frightened through my letterbox this morning; I think their glimpse of Archie (the dog) eyeing them up to be his new 'playmates' didn't help!!

If you are ever in need of cheering up (or a zombie to send to one of your 'friends'....), Fiona's blog is definitely a good place to start.  Don't let them near my survivors though!!

New Silver Pebbles Collection

I know we need some rain, but isn't this a bit much?!  It's so miserable!!  So, I have been busy working away indoors in the warm and dry, getting ready to list some new pieces.... yes, I have been on about them for a while, and here they finally are!  I have come up with a new collection of pieces, called my Silver Pebbles collection.  I came up with the name because I tend to make the silver beads in batches, and I love it when I have a little heap of them all tumbled and finished, and they look like a little pile of silver pebbles.  I have made beads with lots of different patterns, and added plenty of colourful glass and semi-precious beads alongside them to add some colour.  You may have noticed the first few pieces going into my Folksy shop:
